VILLAGE GUIDLINES
Village Guidelines are sourced from the old Norse Code of honour that was held in the highest esteem in the farming communities.
🛖 Cabin & Campsite Conduct
1. Embrace the Viking Spirit: Celebrate the values of courage, honour, and hospitality. Share tales and songs around the fire, but keep the peace and quiet of the forest in mind.
2. Respect the Silence of the Skies: Maintain a tranquil atmosphere. Noise should be kept to a minimum to allow all guests to hear the whispers of the wind and the rustling leaves.
🌲 Nature & Environment
1. Guardians of the Green: Treat the natural surroundings with reverence. Leave no trace, dispose of waste properly, and minimize your impact on the land.
2. Flora and Fauna Fellowship: Live in harmony with the local wildlife. Observe from a distance and do not disturb the creatures of the woods.
🤝 Community & Collaboration
1. Forge Bonds of Fellowship: Engage with fellow guests through communal activities and shared responsibilities, such as gathering kindling and maintaining common areas.
2. Circle of Trust: Respect each other’s space and privacy. Offer help when needed and accept it in the spirit of camaraderie.
🏞️ Sustainability & Self-Sufficiency
1. Sustainable Living: Use resources wisely. Conserve water, recycle, and participate in sustainable practices.
2. Hands of Honour: Contribute to the upkeep of the site by keeping your site clean and tidy. Volunteer for community projects and take pride in enhancing the shared environment.
Remember, these guidelines are meant to enhance the experience for everyone, creating a setting where modern-day adventurers can find peace and kinship in the spirit of the old Norsemen. 🌟
